The female White-tailed Eagle that fledged in Mountshannon earlier in the year has been in the Kildimo-Mellon Point area for the past two weeks (Allan Mee).

A Barn Owl was seen flying over the N24 at Pallasgreen this morning (John Considine).
Another Barn Owl was also recently at Baggotstown, Knockainey.

Eight Whooper Swans and a Jack Snipe were at the Coonagh Nature Reserve this morning.
A Peregrine Falcon was seen at St. John’s Cathedral, Limerick City(Blair McClure).

A Short-eared Owl was seen at the Coonagh Nature Reserve today. This is a first record for the site. The bird was seen hunting over the rough grass and rushy areas around the lower lagoon on two occasions in the early afternoon. A Peregrine Falcon, five Whooper Swans, 25 Gadwall, 23 Shoveler, six Snipe and a Little Egret were also seen (Tom Tarpey, Phil Symonds et al.)
A Little Egret was seen near Kilteely(Tony Mee).

20 Shoveler, 17 Wigeon, ten Teal, four Gadwall, 81 Coot, 45 Little Grebes, 46 Mute Swans, three Snipe and a Little Egret were at Coonagh.
