Two Chiffchaffs were at Coonagh today. An adult female Scaup was also present.
Four Scaup were at Lough Gur.
A female Blackcap was in a garden at Raheen.

At least two Chiffchaffs, including one showing some characteristics of the Siberian race ‘tristis’ were at Coonagh today. A Buzzard was also seen passing through the site heading westwards.
A Buzzard was seen at Curraghchase.

A Short-eared Owl was seen near Courtmatrix, Rathkeale.
A Chiffchaff was seen again today at Healy’s Fields, Corbally on the annual Limerick Branch Christmas Outing. An exceptionally large flock of 43 Shoveler was also present.
A first winter Mediterranean Gull was at Arthur’s Quay, Limerick City.
Blackcaps were reported from gardens in Monaleen, Raheen and Ballingarry.

A Blackcap was reported from a garden near Ballingarry, the second report of the species so far this winter.

A Chiffchaff and a 1st winter Mediterranean Gull were at Healy’s Field, Corbally.
An adult Ring-billed Gull was O’Callaghan’s Strand. This is presumed to be the returning bird from previous winters

Single Barn Owls were seen at Killoughteen, Newcatle West and at Kilbeheney.
A Blackcap was seen in a garden in Raheen, the first report of the species in Limerick this winter.
A Buzzard was seen at the M7/M20 Rossbrien junction.
Thursday 12th December 2013
A Merlin, 30 Gadwall, three Scaup, a Long-tailed Duck, a Goldeneye, three Greenshank and two Dunlin were at Coonagh today.

15 Crossbills were seen at the Limerick/Kerry border near Knockathea.
A adult male Hen Harrier was seen in the west Limerick uplands.
