Rose-coloured Starling (Ian Smith)

A Rose-coloured Starling was seen in a private garden in east Clare (Ian Smith).

Five pairs of Pochard were at Coonagh (Geoff Hunt).
Two Buzzards were at Crecora and another was at Ballysheedy (Derek Casey).

Rose-coloured Starling Geoff Hunt

The Rose-coloured Starling was seen again today in Newcastle West (Geoff Hunt).
A Buzzard was at Croom (Frank Keohane).

Rose-colored Starling Tom Ivess

A Rose-coloured Starling was seen in a garden in Newcastle West (Tom Ivess). This is the fourth record for the County, following on closely from the third seen in Athlacca earlier in the week. These records are part of a large influx of the species in to north-western Europe for the second year in a row and the third such influx in four years.

Rose-coloured Starling Ian Kelleher

A Rose-coloured Starling was seen in a field of cut grass at Athlacca (Ian Kelleher). This is the third record for the County.

The Great Spotted Woodpecker pair near Parteen have bred successfully this year. Fledging was completed by June 1st (Pat Murphy)

An adult Yellow-legged Gull was at Clancy’s Strand (TT).
Two Cuckoos and a Buzzard were at Foynes (Robert Nicholson).
A Cuckoo and three Buzzards were at Crecora (Derek Casey).
