Adult American Golden Plover at the Fodry, Loop Head John N Murphy

At Loop Head today the Red-breasted Flycatcher made a brief appearance in Seni’s garden along with five Yellow-browed Warblers, one Turtle Dove and one Female Blackcap. The American Golden Plover was at the headland along with 350 Golden Plover,two Merlin and one Stock Dove, Three Bullfinches were in the gardens in Kilbaha (a rarity at Loop Head). Four Fieldfare, five Chiffchaff and four Goldcrest were also in the gardens. A small flock of 20 Manxies were off the tip with one Mediterranean Gull and a Great Northern Diver. There was one Little Bunting at Loop Head this afternoon. (John N The Red-breasted Flycatcher, three Turtle Doves, four Chiffchaff, one Merlin and one first-winter Mediterranean Gull were in Kilbaha. (JNM)
