American Golden Plover is still at Loop Head Jeff Copner

The adult American Golden Plover was still at the Fodry, Loop Head today along with 52 Golden Plover, one Merlin and two Chiffchaff in the Kilbaha village. (Jeff Copner)

The American Golden Plover was in the Horse Fields at Ross today with three Yellow-browed Warblers in the gardens at Kilbaha and one Turtle Dove. (John N Murphy)

Adult American Golden Plover at the Fodry, Loop Head John N Murphy

At Loop Head today the Red-breasted Flycatcher made a brief appearance in Seni’s garden along with five Yellow-browed Warblers, one Turtle Dove and one Female Blackcap. The American Golden Plover was at the headland along with 350 Golden Plover,two Merlin and one Stock Dove, Three Bullfinches were in the gardens in Kilbaha (a rarity at Loop Head). Four Fieldfare, five Chiffchaff and four Goldcrest were also in the gardens. A small flock of 20 Manxies were off the tip with one Mediterranean Gull and a Great Northern Diver.
